InterFinancial Corporate Finance Limited (“InterFinancial”) understands the importance the community places on the preservation of confidentiality, as well as an individuals’ private and sensitive information.

How we collect information

InterFinancial may receive unsolicited personal information if you use the Contact Page on our website.  That unsolicited information is limited to your name and email address.

InterFinancial does not collect personally identifiable information about individuals except where it is necessary for it to provide financial services in accordance with its Australian Financial Services Licence or when such individuals specifically provide such information on a voluntary basis.

How we use information

Where InterFinancial collects an individual’s personal information for a particular purpose (i.e. the primary purpose), it will not use that information for another purpose (i.e. a secondary purpose) unless the individual has consented to the use or disclosure of that information.

Individual user’s personally identifiable information will not be provided to unaffiliated third parties without the approval of the user at the time of collection. InterFinancial reserves the right to contact a user regarding matters relevant to the underlying service and/or the information collected.

InterFinancial does not disclose any confidential information obtained about its clients, except as required or permitted by law or as otherwise authorised by such clients.  InterFinancial is committed to preserving the confidentiality and security of its clients’ information and maintains physical, electronic and procedural protections designed to guard information against impermissible disclosure.

How we store & protect information

InterFinancial will store personal information physically and electronically. It may store such information with third party data storage providers. Where this occurs, contractual arrangements will be put in place to ensure those providers take appropriate measures to protect that information and restrict the uses to which they can put that information.

InterFinancial will ensure that in relation to any personal information it holds that it will take such steps as are reasonable in the circumstances to protect the information from:

(a) misuse, interference and loss; and

(b) unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

If the InterFinancial holds information which it no longer needs (for any purpose for which the information may be used or disclosed) or it is no longer required to keep, it will take such steps as are reasonable in the circumstance to destroy the information or to ensure that the information is de-identified.

InterFinancial has always respected the confidentiality of the information that it collects and the privacy of our clients.  This version of this policy is effective from 1 January 2020. InterFinancial reserves the right to change this policy at any time by notifying users of the existence of a new privacy statement. This statement and the policies outlined herein are not intended to and do not create any contractual or other legal rights in or on behalf of any party.
