AVS Nutrition sold to Singaporean Healthcare group, Veritas

26.9.2018

AVS Nutrition Ltd, a leading contract manufacturer of food, vitamin, supplement and complementary medicine, was sold to Verita Healthcare Group Ltd, a Singapore-based group providing preventative healthcare solutions.

AVS provides a range of services to brands looking for an alternate supplier or to those looking for new concepts; from sourcing, supplying, packaging and contract manufacturing to development of customised products and innovative formulations. The business is based in Ballina, NSW.

The shareholders of AVS were seeking a partner to help grow, as well as realize some liquidity for their investment in the business.

Clairfield introduced AVS to Verita Healthcare Group. Verita was seeking to expand its presence in Australia, complementing its existing presence. Clairfield represented AVS throughout the transaction process, including introducing the investor, managing due diligence advisors, and working closely with both the buyer and seller to ensure a transaction structure which created alignment for all parties.

InterFinancial  acted as exclusive financial advisor to AVS Nutrition.

Transactions of this nature can be challenging and time consuming. Clairfield Australia (InterFinancial) connected us with an interested party, managed the process of negotiations and due diligence, and ultimately we’ve ended up in a position where all parties have achieved a really positive outcome. Having had their guidance and follow up in the background along the entire way has been invaluable to us, whilst we’ve continued to run our business from day to day.

From technical capability to economic inevitability: Why Clean Energy companies fail to scale?

Working with organisations attempting to commercialise clean energy technologies, I have observed a pattern persistent enough to warrant explicit articulation. Across hydrogen, electrification, storage, biogas, low-carbon fuels, and industrial heat, companies with credible technology, capable teams, and supportive boards still fail to compound enterprise value. Not because the technology disappoints, and not because the market […]

Not every healthcare deal is a sale: rethinking what M&A can look like

When healthcare business owners come to us thinking about a transaction, the conversation almost always starts in the same place. What is the business worth, and what does a sale process look like? Those are the right questions. But they’re not always the only ones that matter. Embedded in both is an assumption; that the […]
