Water and sanitation specialist acquired by national leader Groupe Saur

11.10.2018

Alliance Environnement, a provider of water, sanitation, and organic waste recovery solutions was sold to Groupe Saur, an international water company.

Founded in 2012, the Alliance Environnement Group offers dedicated services for water and sanitation as well as recovery of organic waste. With seven branches and four waste treatment units in Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the Group has become an independent regional player of reference. Alliance completed two important acquisitions: Citec in 2013 (control and diagnosis of water networks) and Canonge & Biallez in 2015 (piping work and installation of drinking and waste water treatment units). In 2018, the Group had revenues of more than EUR 17 million and it employs nearly 110 people. It was backed by the private equity fund IXO Private Equity.

With revenues of EUR 1.3 billion in 2017, Groupe Saur is an international leader in the management and operation of the complete water cycle for municipal and industrial customers. As the third largest French player, Groupe Saur operates over 4,000 contracts and serves more than 13 million subscribers. With a new strategic “Initiative 2022”, Saur continues its development with the objective of increasing its revenues to EUR 2 billion by 2022.

Clairfield International in France acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Alliance Environnement.
