InterFinancial advises Protech on a strategic equity partnership with Proman

30.6.2026

Protech is an Australia based blue collar labour hire company specialising in workforce provision of skilled, semi-skilled, technical, trades, & professional personnel to the mining, construction, infrastructure, renewables and railway sectors in Australia. It has 26 offices in Australia and services several reputed enterprise customers in Australia.

Proman is a privately held French company with an international footprint in 18 countries, primarily in Europe and the Americas. It is the 4th largest in Europe and 10th largest staffing company globally.

This transaction provides Protech with access to a truly global organisation and strong expertise, while providing Proman with a well-established growth platform in Australia, one of the largest staffing markets in APAC and the world.

InterFinancial acted as lead adviser, with support of our Clairfield partner office in France. The deal involved cross-border complexity, elaborate commercial and legal arrangements to create the right incentives for parties post the initial partnership deal, regulatory approvals, a pre-transaction restructure involving several minority shareholders and a unique funding structure. InterFinancial led a fast-paced diligence and negotiation process, while managing the broader advisory team and various stakeholders.

InterFinancial acted as exclusive financial advisor to Protech.

“It has been a genuine pleasure working with InterFinancial as lead advisory firm and a cornerstone of our deal team. Sharon’s strategic and tactical acumen, combined with Anuk’s exceptional financial modelling and completion expertise, set a standard that was simply outstanding — the caliber of their work speaks for itself. Our transaction was anything but straightforward. It took many twists and turns over an extended period, yet as a team we navigated every complexity with composure and skill, ultimately delivering a highly desirable outcome. I could not have asked for a better advisory partner.”

Marc Meili, Founder of Protech.

Deal team: Anuk Manchanda (Director), Sharon Doyle (Executive Chair), Lachie Jackson (Associate)

From technical capability to economic inevitability: Why Clean Energy companies fail to scale?

Working with organisations attempting to commercialise clean energy technologies, I have observed a pattern persistent enough to warrant explicit articulation. Across hydrogen, electrification, storage, biogas, low-carbon fuels, and industrial heat, companies with credible technology, capable teams, and supportive boards still fail to compound enterprise value. Not because the technology disappoints, and not because the market […]

Not every healthcare deal is a sale: rethinking what M&A can look like

When healthcare business owners come to us thinking about a transaction, the conversation almost always starts in the same place. What is the business worth, and what does a sale process look like? Those are the right questions. But they’re not always the only ones that matter. Embedded in both is an assumption; that the […]
