

Luke Harwood
Director - Technology
Luke leads InterFinancial’s Technology sector focusing on technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) domains. He advises mid-market businesses on strategy, new business incubation, transaction execution, and post-merger integrations, leveraging his deep domain expertise and knowledge of how things work ‘in the real world’.
He has over a decade of M&A experience in buy-side and sell-side transactions. He began his career at Macquarie Capital supporting infrastructure and asset-based transactions across Australia and the Middle East.
Following his time in Abu Dhabi, Luke spent 13 years at Telstra, leading technology services and software acquisitions locally, in China and the USA. Soon after this, he stepped into leadership roles, overseeing Telstra’s early-stage ventures, cyber security, and innovation functions as well as leading its early-stage product incubations in AI.
With experience in executing transactions and managing the P&L, Luke brings a senior executive’s perspective to navigate the challenges and opportunities that drive long-term value and success. Outside of work, he’s a self-proclaimed sports tragic who cheers on Crystal Palace, the Brisbane Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles.
