Andrew Wheeler

Andrew joined InterFinancial in 2014, bringing a diverse commercial background spanning property development, structured finance, capital and equity markets, and corporate advisory. Starting his career in South Africa, Andrew focused on redeveloping industrial properties for pension funds investors before migrating to Australia in 2001. He then continued to work in property development and finance as Director at Novus Capital and Partner at Luminar International respectively.
Following the GFC, Andrew shifted his focus to corporate advisory and M&A to help clients navigate alternative growth and exit strategies. Today, his focus is on capital raisings and business succession, providing strategic advice that aligns the expectations with all parties involved to ensure positive outcomes.
Andrew is a key deal origination team member at InterFinancial. He works closely with clients to uncover opportunities that meet their long-term goals, while building trusted relationships that extend beyond the transaction. His honest advice is shaped by experience and delivered with the client’s interests always front of mind.
Some of his notable transactions include Hall Contracting, Skyreach and BJP Laboratories. When Andrew is not meeting clients, he enjoys staying active by hitting the gym and playing squash.
