Michael is an M&A Director with a distinctive background that shapes his approach to corporate finance. Before transitioning into the field, he spent seven years as a scientist and lecturer in immunology and medical biochemistry.

Now, specialising in the healthcare sector, Michael is skilled at navigating both public and private market deals. Over his eight-year career in M&A, he has developed a comprehensive skillset that covers the entire deal lifecycle, from origination to completion. His recent work includes driving successful transactions with National Veterinary Care, Alliance Automation, Microba and EyeQ Optometrists.

Michael believes that successful dealmaking is built on genuine relationships, strong market knowledge, and direct communication. Michael co-chairs the Clairfield Healthcare Sector Group, leveraging InterFinancial’s global partnership to connect clients with the right partners, and providing candid advice and creative solutions to achieve optimal outcomes.

When he steps away from the deal table, Michael enjoys cycling, surfing and gardening, pursuits that provide a balanced counterpoint to his professional life.
